Tara J. Guretzky, M.D.
Tara J. Guretzky, M.D. was the Chief of Pediatric Ophthalmology at the University of Missouri, Columbia. She completed her fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology at Washington University in St. Louis. She received her Medical Degree from the University of Nebraska, where she was elected into the Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her residency training at the Mason Eye Institute at the University of Missouri.
Dr. Guretzky’s areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of amblyopia, strabismus for children and adults, neonatal ophthalmology, screening and treatment of retinopathy of prematurity, blocked tear ducts, chalazia treatment and excision, and pediatric cataract surgery.
Dr. Guretzky has published in a variety of medical books and journals. She has lectured at various teaching hospitals. Dr. Guretzky is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
Dr. Guretzky enjoys photography and hiking, as well as family activities with her children.
