Samuel E. Chado, O.D.
Dr. Chado was born and raised in Frederick, Maryland. He performed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Chado did clinical externships with an emphasis in ocular disease at Clayton Eye Center in Morrow, GA, Swagel Wootton Eye Center in Mesa, AZ, and The Eye Center at Southern College of Optometry.
Dr. Chado has received extensive clinical training in all areas of optometry including pediatrics, binocular vision, myopia progression management, ocular emergencies, glaucoma treatment, diabetic eye care, pre/post-operative care of surgical patients, and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Chado is a member of the American Optometric Association, Maryland Optometric Association, and the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Chado is also a provider for InfantSee. This national program offers free eye exams to children in their first year of life to detect congenital problems that could be developmentally delayed or life-threatening.
Dr. Chado lives in Frederick with his wife and welcomes the opportunity to see patients and serve the community where he grew up.
